What We Do

The Eagan Resource Center (ERC), the largest food shelf in Dakota County, is a nonprofit organization committed to eliminating hunger.  Mission:  ERC exists to serve those in need and to eliminate hunger in Dakota County.  ERC has grown from serving 38 families per month in 2005 to serving 450 families per month at the end of 2009.  Last year, more than 2,000 new individuals have begun using our food shelf.  We rely on the generosity of hundreds of people who donate time, food and money to the ERC.  Nearly 400 volunteers have contributed more than 8,700 hours of time to the organization in 2009.
